The Faculty of Transportation Sciences is one of the smallest faculties at the Czech Technical University in Prague, however, I gained a large amount of experience. As its main focus revolves around transportation, the design ideas stemmed from it as well. My main task was to carry out a brand refresh to make the faculty stand out while staying true to the graphic manual of the university. My idea for the design came from a cherished project called “MotoStudent” in which students build their own motorbikes. From using blueprints of various vehicles or their parts came a simple and minimalist design that reminded everyone of the focus of the faculty.
Another branding project was one for the faculty’s own workshop Career Day, which is an event where companies offer jobs to students. This workshop needed its own logo and branding to be recognised each year.
A third big project was another annual event. A camp for children focused on transportation during which kids visit Prague airport or railway depo. This task needed its own branding as well even though it was different since it was aimed at a younger target group. Here my work included logos, an index, diplomas, and also stamps, flags, and merchandise.
In between these projects I worked on smaller ones such as presentations, internal and external documents, social media posts, posters, leaflets, and a logo design for a railway project.
