About me
I am a graphic designer, illustrator, and artist who is pursuing the dream of doing what she loves.
I am currently trying to work as a freelancer to gain more experience and learn new skills. Overall,
I could describe myself as passionate about design, in any form, creative and eager to create storytelling solutions.
Among the programs I use are Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects, however,
I am not afraid to learn how to use others. My strengths are my English
language skills, creativity, communication skills, and the ability to work on my own.
And here is my story:
Since my early childhood I have always been interested in art, drawing or even creating various things, which was the reason why I chose to attend a high school of fashion design, where I could learn and improve. A different type of improvement came when studying at university where I advanced my English skills and learned that I needed to think and work creatively again. While my interest in fashion design transformed into a hobby, the love for art did not and led me to the world of graphic design where I could be creative and artistic once more and move my work from paper to a computer.
My first opportunity as a graphic designer came during the three years I spent at the PR and marketing department of the Faculty of Transportation Sciences CTU in Prague where I worked partially as an assistant and a graphic designer. My job description included creating online and offline materials as well as communicating with business partners and helping with event organisations. One of my biggest tasks was a visual identity refresh which included not only the design itself but also various materials for print such as a brochure, leaflets, social media posts, and more.
After I left the CTU I briefly worked for a company providing ICT services, called Neeco, which brought me more experience and practice in graphic design than I could have ever imagined. While working at Neeco, I had the opportunity to enhance my skills in the field of motion design/animation.
I have also done a few freelance jobs working on brand and logo designs, moreover, I have recently chosen to pursue the path of a freelancer, polish my designing skills, and be more artistic.
